A garden of rooms in St Albans
Our brief here was to transform a long, thin garden into a space that could be enjoyed for different purposes. We designed a garden made of 3 distinctive "rooms", each with its own feel. The centre of the garden has become an entertaining area, with space for chairs and a firepit, whilst the back of the garden is intended to be a shady, peaceful retreat. The addition of a pergola and trees provide height and focal points. Raised beds are used to deal with the changes of level and planted to give an attractive view from the house.
